Tuntud ka osakestef\u00fc\u00fcsikas. Panuse eest kvantelektrod\u00fcnaamika v\u00e4ljaarendamisse sai 1965. aastal Nobeli preemia, koos temaga Julian Schwinger ja Sin-Itiro Tomonaga.<\/p>\n<p>Feynman t\u00f6\u00f6tas v\u00e4lja t\u00e4nap\u00e4eval laialt kasutatava pildilis-matemaatilise meetodi osakeste k\u00e4itumise kirjeldamiseks, seda tuntakse n\u00fc\u00fcd Feynmani diagrammide nime all.<\/p>\n<p>Eluajal ja ka hiljem on Feynman olnud \u00fcks maailma enam tuntud teadlasi. Ta osales aatompommi v\u00e4ljat\u00f6\u00f6tamises ja oli kosmoses\u00fcstikuga Challenger juhtunud \u00f5nnetuse uurimiskomisjoni liige. Lisaks t\u00f6\u00f6dele teoreetilise f\u00fc\u00fcsika alal hinnatakse tema ideid kvantarvutite ja nanotehnoloogia alal. Samal ajal j\u00f5udis ta s\u00fcgavalt huvituda bioloogiast.
