Selle kohaselt kujunes universumi struktuur j\u00e4rk-j\u00e4rguliselt \u2013 v\u00e4iksed osakesed p\u00f5rkusid ning \u00fchinesid \u00fcksteisega j\u00e4rjest suuremateks gravitatsioonilise vastastikm\u00f5ju t\u00f5ttu. Teooria suutis h\u00e4mmastavalt h\u00e4sti seletada kus, kui palju ja millal galaktikad kujunesid, ent sellel oli \u00fcks puudus \u2013 see ei suutnud seletada k\u00e4\u00e4busgalaktikate olemasolu. Sellest ainest kujunevad  hiljem k\u00e4\u00e4busgalaktikad. Ent  massi kadumine tingib ka gravitatsioonilise t\u00f5mbe j\u00e4rsu n\u00f5rgenemise, mille tulemusena triivib ka suur hulk tumeainet galaktikast minema. Samalaadne protsess toimuks, kui P\u00e4ike \u00fchel hetkel P\u00e4ikeses\u00fcsteemist lihtsalt \u00e4ra kaoks \u2013 tulemusena paiskuksid planeedid t\u00e4htedevahelisse ruumi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\" align=\"LEFT\">Nimetatud plahvatuste lisamisel simulatsiooni oli tulemuseks tunduvalt v\u00e4iksema tihedusega galaktikate moodustumine, mis on reaalsele maailmaruumile \u00fcllatavalt sarnane. \u201eK\u00fclma tumeaine teooria t\u00f6\u00f6tab h\u00e4mmastavalt h\u00e4sti n\u00e4idates kus, millal ja kuidas galaktikad moodustuvad. Meie t\u00f6\u00f6 tulemusena leidsime parema kirjelduse protsessidele, mida me reaalses universumis teame ilmnevat ning seet\u00f5ttu on ka simulatsioonid t\u00e4psemad,\u201c nentis Covernato.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\" align=\"LEFT\">T\u00f6\u00f6grupp kasutas oma mudelit esialgu kahe k\u00e4\u00e4busgalaktika moodustumise simuleerimiseks. <strong>Marla Geha<\/strong>, Yale \u00fclikooli astronoom, kes projektis ei osalenud j\u00e4\u00e4b tulemuste suhtes \u00e4raootavale seisukohale, oodates, et uus kirjeldusviis peaks paika rohkemate galaktikate kirjeldamisel.
