Selle torni ehitamiseks kasutati  skaneeriva elektronmikroskoopi fokuseeritud ioon kiire abi (SEM-FIB). Torn ehitati, et uurida nende s\u00fcsiniknanotorudest koosneva tornide k\u00e4itumist mehhaanilise surve m\u00f5jul. Hiljuti v\u00f5itis tema foto \u201eNanoArt 2011\u201c konkursil esikoha.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pathaki ehitas fokuseeritud ioon kiirte s\u00fcsteemi abil 500 nanomeetrise l\u00e4bim\u00f5\u00f5duga torne k\u00f5rge tihedusega s\u00fcsinik nanotorudest koosnevast vaibast. Selle katsete abil tahtis teadlane uurida, kui suure surve all need nanotorudest tornid painduvad.
