Kiipi j\u00f5udnud valgus l\u00e4bib omakorda lainejuhi (<em>waveguide<\/em>), mille kaudu signaal l\u00f5puks impulsse tootvasse mikroringi j\u00f5uab.<\/p>\n<p>Teadlaste s\u00f5nul toodab mikroring sisendist impulsse kuni 10<sup>14 <\/sup>Hz sagedusega. V\u00e4ljundimpulsside real on lai sagedusriba, mist\u00f5ttu meenutab signaali spekter (amplituud versus sagedus) justkui kammi.<\/p>\n<p>Sagedusspektri hoolikal modelleerimisel loodavad teadlased valmistada k\u00f5rge lahendusega optilisi sensoreid, mis oleksid rakendatavad muuhulgas\u00a0erinevates spektrograafiaseadmetes.
