Aparaadile saadeti raadioaparatuuri sisse l\u00fclitamise k\u00e4sklus, misj\u00e4rel saadi kostena seadme telemeetriateade. Teadlaste s\u00f5nul on sond v\u00e4ga madalal ja keerukal orbiidil, mist\u00f5ttu ei olda veel kindlad telemeetriateate sisus. Side kestvus on maksimaalselt k\u00fcmme minutit. ESA ja Vene inseneride vahel k\u00e4ib probleemi lahendamise osas tihe koost\u00f6\u00f6.<\/p>\n<p>122,7 miljonit eurot maksev kosmosesond on Marsi missioonide ambitsioonikaim. \u00d5nnestunud missiooni korral oleks sond maandunud Marsi kuu Phobose pinnal, v\u00f5tnud sealt pinnaseproove ja need siis aastaks 2014. maale tagasi toimetanud.<\/p>\n<p>Side kadus 8. novembril, m\u00f5ned tunnid p\u00e4rast \u00f5nnestunud starti. Seadme rakettmootorid ei suutnud sooritada kaht j\u00e4rjestikkust t\u00f6\u00f6ts\u00fcklit, mis oleks sondi \u00f5igele teekonnale saatnud. Esialgu arvati, et side katkeb 13.5 tonni kaaluva seadmega akude t\u00fchjenedes kolm p\u00e4eva p\u00e4rast vahejuhtumit.
