Kindlate tingimuste korral k\u00e4itub katseklaasis asetsev geel justkui s\u00fcda. Teadlased panid ette, et eelnevalt mittev\u00f5nkunud geeli saab mehaanilise r\u00f5hu abil taasergastada. Selle ennustuse tegid reaalsuseks MIT teadlased, kes t\u00f5estasid, et keemilisi v\u00f5nkumisi saab tekitada BZ geeli mehaanilisel kokkusurumisel kriitilisest stressist enam.
