T\u00f6\u00f6r\u00fchma juhtisid Queenslandi \u00dclikooli teadlased professor Paul Meredith ja dotsent Ben Powell.<\/p>\n<p>\u201ePooljuhid on t\u00e4nap\u00e4eva olulisimad elektroonikas kasutatavad materjalid, mille enamus on tehtud anorgaanilistest elementidest v\u00f5i \u00fchenditest, n\u00e4iteks r\u00e4nist v\u00f5i galliumarseniidist,\u201c kommenteeris Meredith.<\/p>\n<p>Orgaaniliste pooljuhtide uurimine on aga suhteliselt noor teadusharu. Looduslikult leiduvaid orgaanilisi pooljuhte on v\u00e4he. 1970ndatel postuleeriti, et melaniin v\u00f5iks olla \u00fcks kandidaate.<\/p>\n<p>Mobiiltelefonides ja arvutites olevate pooljuhtide t\u00f6\u00f6 p\u00f5hineb elektrilaengute liigutamisel, ent bioloogilistes s\u00fcsteemides, n\u00e4iteks ajus v\u00f5i lihastes, toimub see ioonide vahendusel.
