The year 2014 marked the four-hundred-and-fiftieth anniversary of Galileo\u2019s birth, making it the
\nperfect occasion to present and illustrate a G eo G ebra applet which reproduces some of Galileo\u2019s
\ncelebrated experiments on the uniformly accelerated motion, as reported on in \u2018Discourses and
\nMathematical Demonstrations Relating to Two New Sciences \u2019. Our applet is inexpensive, makes up for
\nthe lack of a fully-fledged physics lab and can be used as an accompanying activity in an (open)
\nonline course. The version we present allows for an \u2018empirical\u2019 test of three of the most relevant
\ntheorems in the third day of Galileo\u2019s Discourses . By three different experimental setups, students
\ncan see a ball roll down a slope, take measures and perform data analysis, following Galileo\u2019s
\nfootsteps. The applet is made freely available on the internet, so it can be downloaded and modified
