Our applet is inexpensive, makes up for<br \/>\nthe lack of a fully-fledged physics lab and can be used as an accompanying activity in an (open)<br \/>\nonline course. The version we present allows for an \u2018empirical\u2019 test of three of the most relevant<br \/>\ntheorems in the third day of Galileo\u2019s Discourses . By three different experimental setups, students<br \/>\ncan see a ball roll down a slope, take measures and perform data analysis, following Galileo\u2019s<br \/>\nfootsteps.
