Nimetatud t\u00f6\u00f6s kasutati arvutusvahendina kvantp\u00f5imitud footonpaare, millega lahendati kahe muutujaga lineaarv\u00f5rrandis\u00fcsteeme.<\/p>\n<p>Esiteks sihiti baariumboraadi kristallile laserkiir, mis v\u00e4ljutas kristallist kaks p\u00f5imitud, identse polarisatsiooniga footonpaari. Footonpaarid eraldati kiirejaguris, mille j\u00e4rel t\u00f6\u00f6deldi neid optilises s\u00fcsteemis ning tuvastati l\u00f5ppeks footondetektoritel. \u00dcksikuid footoneid kasutatakse kvantbittidena, mille polarisatsioonivektori kaks olekut on kui digitaalseadme \u00fcks ja null. Footonite polarisatsiooniolek detektorisse j\u00f5udmisel andis katse alguses l\u00e4htestatud lineaarv\u00f5rrandi lahendi. Masina antud vastus ei ole t\u00e4pne, k\u00fcll aga t\u00f5en\u00e4oliseim. V\u00f5rrandi lahend saadi 82,5 % kuni 99,3 % t\u00e4psusega.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00f6\u00f6r\u00fchma valmistatud lihtne aparaat rajab \u00fchtlasi tee keerulisemate arvutuste sooritamiseks, selleks on aga vaja rohkem kui kaks footonpaari. T\u00f6\u00f6r\u00fchm t\u00f6\u00f6tab kahe masina omaduse parendamisega. Esiteks on masin piiratud vaid \u00fchele footonallikale, mis t\u00e4hendab, et footonpaaride valmistamine ei ole t\u00f6\u00f6kindel.
