In this paper we propose a smartphone-aided setup that takes advantage of the<br \/>\nsmartphone\u2019s magnetometer sensor to measure the Earth\u2019s magnetic field dip angle. This set-up will<br \/>\nhelp students visualize the vector nature of the Earth\u2019s magnetic field, especially high school and<br \/>\nfirst year college students who are not quite experienced with vectors.
