Yoshihiki Arita, dr. Michael Mazilu ning professor Kishan Dholakia sooritasid eksperimendi, milles keerutati laserkiirtel h\u00f5ljuvat kera kiirusega 600 miljonit p\u00f6\u00f6ret minutis. Katse sooritati vaakumkambris ning kera mehaaniliseks t\u00f6\u00f6tlemiseks kasutati vaid lasereid. Ent mikrokehade p\u00f6\u00f6rlemisd\u00fcnaamika on veel suuresti avastamata maailm. Ise\u00e4ranis huvitav on, millal ja kas \u00fcldse sekkuvad klassikalisse p\u00f6\u00f6rlemist kirjeldavasse f\u00fc\u00fcsikasse kvantf\u00fc\u00fcsika n\u00e4htused. Seda St. Andrewsi t\u00f6\u00f6r\u00fchm uurida tahtiski.<\/p>\n<p>Eksperimendiks valmistatud kaltsiumkarbonaadist kera l\u00e4bim\u00f5\u00f5t oli ligikaudu \u00fcks mikromeeter. Kera asetati laserkiirte fookusesse. Laservalguse r\u00f5hk hoidis kera katsepinnast lahus. H\u00f5ljuva kera pihta sihiti laserkiir, mille polarisatsioon muutis kera l\u00e4bimisel suunda ning andis kerale nurkkiirenduse. \u00d5hutakistus eemaldati vaakumiga. T\u00f6\u00f6r\u00fchm t\u00e4heldas kera p\u00f6\u00f6rlemises g\u00fcroskoopilisi efekte.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eSee on erutav ning m\u00f5tlemapanev eksperiment, mis avardab p\u00f6\u00f6rlevate kehade f\u00fc\u00fcsika piire. Oleks huvitav katset korrata mitme samaaegselt l\u00f5ksustatud osakesega. Saame v\u00f5ib-olla heita valgust kvanth\u00f5\u00f5rdumise fenomenile, mille p\u00f5hik\u00fcsimus oleks &#8211; kas kvantmehaanika peatab h\u00f5\u00f5rdumiseta liikumise?\u201c k\u00fcsis dr.
