Projekti eesm\u00e4rk on valmistada rakett, mis lendaks stardiplatvormilt kosmosesse, naaseks sealt ning maanduks Maal kasutamisk\u00f5lbulikus seisukorras. Enamus kasutatavatest rakettidest on modelleeritud nii, et need p\u00f5levad atmosf\u00e4\u00e4ri sisenedes t\u00e4ielikult. Ekspertide hinnangul teeks Rohutirts kosmoselennu efektiivsemaks ning odavamaks.<\/p>\n<p>Rohutirts koosneb katsefaasis Spacex Falcon 9 raketi \u00fchest esimese astme Merlin 1D mootorist, neljast h\u00fcdraulilise vedrustusega maandumisjalast ning terastugedest.<\/p>\n<p>Falcon 9 raketiga, millel on, nagu nimigi viitab, 9 Merlin mootorit, viiakse Ameerika Kosmoseagentuuri NASA tellimusel kasulikku lasti Rahvusvahelisele Kosmosejaamale ISS. K\u00f5ik komponendid, ka kosmosejaamaga dokkimiseks m\u00f5eldud kapsel Draakon (<em>Dragon<\/em>), on valmistatud eraalgatusel Spacex firmas.<\/p>\n<p>Rohutirtsu h\u00fcppe k\u00f5rgus on iga katsega arenenud, p\u00fcrgides alates m\u00f6\u00f6dunud aasta septembrist 1,8 m, 5,4 m, 40 m, 80 m, 250 m, 325 m, 250 m ning n\u00fc\u00fcd 744 meetrini.<\/p>\n<p>Lisaks lennuv\u00f5imele areneb ka Rohutirtsu mehaanika ning juhtimisseadmed. Esimese p\u00f5lvkonna Rohutirtsu k\u00f5rgeim lend oli 250 m. Praeguse rekordi sooritanud Rohutrits 1.1 raketil on h\u00fcdrauliliselt volditavad maandumisjalad ning parem navigatsioonis\u00fcsteem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eEnamike rakettide aparatuurist piisab positsiooni m\u00e4\u00e4ramiseks, ent need pole Rohutirtsu jaoks piisavad, t\u00e4psus j\u00e4\u00e4b vajaka.
