The diffraction experiments were able to measure the distances<br \/>\nbetween the slit of the banana stem, i.e. ##IMG##<br \/>\n[http:\/\/ej.iop.org\/images\/0031-9120\/52\/2\/025009\/pedaa589aieqn001.gif] {$d=\\left(28.76\\pm<br \/>\n0.295\\right)\\times {{10}^{-6}}\\,\\text{m}$} for a laser with a wavelength of 632.8\u2009nm and ##IMG##<br \/>\n[http:\/\/ej.iop.org\/images\/0031-9120\/52\/2\/025009\/pedaa589aieqn002.gif] {$d=\\left(26.62\\pm<br \/>\n0.002\\right)\\times {{10}^{-6}}\\,\\text{m}$} for a wavelength of 532\u2009nm.
