V\u00f5ib \u00f6elda, et k\u00f5igis neis protsessides kas kavandatakse v\u00f5i juba kasutatakse lasereid suhteliselt kauge maa tagant ainete koostiste kindlaks tegemiseks, kasutades selleks v\u00e4ga l\u00fchikesi ja v\u00e4ga intensiivseid laserv\u00e4lkeid.<\/p>\n<p>P\u00f5him\u00f5te on \u00fcsna lihtne: laserv\u00e4lge aurustab hetkeliselt t\u00fckikese uuritava ainet, kusjuures aine ka ioniseeritakse &#8211; elektronid lahutatakse aatomite ja molekulide tuumadest, tekib plasma. Kui aatomid ja molekulid rekombineeruvad eraldub valgus, mille spektri uurimisel saadakse infot aine koostise kohta.<\/p>\n<p>Termotuumareaktoris \u00fcritatakse niimoodi saada infot reaktori seinte seisukorra kohta, ilma reaktorisse ronimata. P\u00f5levkivikaevandustes loodetakse sel viisil kindlaks teha p\u00f5levkivi kvaliteeti, ilma et keegi lindil s\u00f5itvat p\u00f5levkivi haamriga koksiks (m\u00f5lemal mainitud suunal t\u00f6\u00f6tavad ka T\u00dc f\u00fc\u00fcsika instituudi teadlased). Foto: NASA\/JPL-Caltech\/LANL\/CNES\/IRAP\/LPGNantes\/CNRS\/IAS<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Remonti (so uut tarkvara) vajas kaamera, mis kogub plasma poolt kiiratud valgust &#8211; m\u00f5\u00f5tmisi on v\u00f5imalik l\u00e4bi viia vaid juhul, kui kaamera on t\u00e4pselt kiirgusallikale fokusseeritud. Enne remonti tulistati n\u00f6 huupi &#8211; tehti mitu pilti erinevatele kaugustele fokusseeritud kaameraga ning valiti siis maal \u00f5ige pilt v\u00e4lja.
