L\u00e4bi kolme elektromagneti (mida kokku nimetatakse staatoriks) juhitakse vool nii, et tekkiv summaarne magnetv\u00e4li p\u00f6\u00f6rleks \u00fcmber mootori s\u00fcmmeetriatelje. Wikipediast v\u00f5etud animatsioonis t\u00e4histavad sinised nooled kolme staatori elektromagnenti poolt tekitatud magnetv\u00e4lja suunda. Nende vektorite summa on mootori keskmest k\u00f5ige kaugemale ulatuva noole ots, see k\u00e4ib t\u00f5epoolest ringiratast.
