Paraku on nende kasutus piiratud, sest nad v&otilde;ivad p&otilde;hjustada vereklompe ja kudede h&otilde;&otilde;rdumist suurema t&otilde;en&auml;osusega kui teisd materjalid.<br \/>\nWissner-Gross ja Kaxiras arvavad, et neid probleeme saab &uuml;letada, kui s&uuml;siniku aatmitega siduda kovalentselt naatriumi aatomeid. See naatriumiaatomite kate laseb natule &uuml;le 2 nm paksusel j&auml;&auml;kihil k&uuml;lmununa p&uuml;sida, mis v&otilde;imaldab implantaatidel kehaga paremini sobituda.
