Suured lootused on seotud vesinikuga, mida saaks saastevabalt kasutada nii sisep&otilde;lemismootoreis kui ka k&uuml;tuseelemendis elektrienergia tootmiseks. Peamiseks takistuseks on seni gaask&uuml;tuse mahutamine s&otilde;idukisse. &Uuml;heks v&otilde;imaluseks on gaas suure r&otilde;hu all kokku suruda ja teda sel moel talletada, ent see teeb tankimisseadmete projekteerimise &auml;&auml;rmiselt keerukaks kuiv&otilde;rd vesinik on v&auml;ga plahvatusohtlik ja teisalt ei paku see moodus siiski konkurentsi harilikule bensiinipaagile l&auml;bitavate kilomeetrite osas.
